Job description

Are you dependable and able to work independently? Do you have customer service experience and enjoy speaking with people and technology?

Essential duties:

  • Installs and programs equipment; including high speed internet, VOIP, and basic personal computer (PC) and Local Area Network (LAN) setup and repair
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, replaces, and upgrades components
  • Checks systems for correct functionality and optimal performance
  • Maintains accurate installation, service, and inventory records
  • Treats customers with respect, courtesy, and professionalism at all times
  • Coordinates schedules with network field operation technicians.
  • Listens to descriptions of problems, answering questions, and resolving issues
  • Educates customers by conveying verbal information clearly and concisely
  • Identifies potential performance "bottle necks" in the system
  • Contacts homeowners and site managers to ensure installation satisfaction
  • Acquires and applies information needed for prompt decision making
  • Refers to and interprets schematics, manuals, and manufacturer's instructions
  • Updates and improves job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, and participating in on-going technical training
  • Supports co-workers and builds positive working relationships with all team members
  • Meets or exceeds performance goals and quality standards
  • Meets or exceeds productivity standards by prioritizing tasks and working efficiently

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with and troubleshooting Operating Systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux), Local Area Network connectivity, wireless connectivity, workstation hardware setup and configuration, printer setup and configuration
  • Must be familiar with mobile technology such as Android, iPhone, iPad, and other Apple products
  • Desire to keep technical skills current and to learn and support new equipment, systems, and applications
  • Ability to write instructional documentation and internal procedures is a must
  • Strong customer service and professionalism required
  • Must be able to work after hours and weekends as needed
  • Speak English/Spanish
